USDA Confirmed COVID-19 in Dog
The United States Department of Agriculture’s (USDA) National Veterinary Services Laboratories (NVSL) announced on June 2, 2020 that they have confirmed a case of COVID-19 in a pet dog in New York. According to USDA, “there is currently no evidence that animals play a significant role in spreading the virus. Based on the limited information available, the risk of animals spreading the virus to people is considered to be low.”
