With 79% of voters being against the ban, the Swiss government has REJECTED animal rights activists proposal to make Switzerland the first country to ban medical and scientific experiments on animals.

"It shows that the Swiss population recognise the central role of research for people's health and for prosperity in Switzerland" said the CEO of Interpharma Rene Buholzer.
