Applicants Needed for ILAR Program Officer Position
The National Academies of Sciences, Engineering and Medicine’s Institute for Laboratory Animal Research (ILAR) is seeking applicants for a Program Officer. Some responsibilities entail “developing and managing one or more of the organization's programs or projects with minimal oversight by Director or Senior Program Officer” and developing “program or project strategy and budget, supervises staff, and ensures program or project meets objectives.” Some qualifications include a master’s degree in a related field, 3 years of related professional experience, and demonstrating a high level in understanding scientific, technical, and policy.
ILAR’s mission statement is “to evaluate and to report on scientific, technological, and ethical use of animals and related biological resources, and of non-animal alternatives in non-food settings, such as research, testing, education, and production of pharmaceuticals.”
