Webinar held: Tuesday January 11, 2011

Is your institution prepared to survive the USDA’s “Age of Enforcement?” The USDA has been taking “actions to strengthen their enforcement of the Animal Welfare Act (AWA)” as part of what APHIS officials have called, the “Age of Enforcement.” To implement this increased focus on enforcement, the USDA has developed an action plan and an Inspections Requirements Handbook with attachments that it uses to train its inspectors. This webinar will review the action plan and the new handbook and discuss changes institutions should consider in their existing programs in order to manage the inspection process effectively. The presentation will cover the most commonly cited areas of non-compliance and suggest how to assure your institution is in full compliance with the regulations and standards.
