Gail's Story

2009-05-01 News Stories

This is Gail’s Story. In this new video, a woman tells a touching story about the cancer research that she does with the help of animal models, continuing the work that both she and her husband, who died of cancer, care passionately about.

FBR's first TV spot, Jen’s Story, has already surpassed 15,000 views on YouTube and is playing every day in a market test city on the NBC affiliate and several strategic cable TV channels.

Now, it is your turn, and here are the three things the Foundation is asking you to do:

1)      Pass this link around to as many of your friends and colleagues as possible:

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=oqzhH7DfKsYOr, if you cannot go directly to YouTube, you can watch the video embedded at the FBR website:

http://www.fbresearch.org/FeaturesCampaigns/JensStory/tabid/996/Default.aspx

Facebook it; Twitter it; Blog about it; FBR is asking that you help spread the word to everyone that scientists are working around the clock to find cures and treatments; that they are people, too, and suffer from many of the same diseases and conditions that all of us face; and that they love and respect the animals that are playing a major role in medical discovery;

2)      Tell FBR about other researchers who have a story like Gail’s.  Maybe they are studying Alzheimer’s because of a parent, or are working on cystic fibrosis because of a child; please have them email the Foundation at paul@fbresearch.org if they are willing to tell their story;

3)      Register now to receive information about an exciting public awareness campaign that the Foundations is about to launch.  FBR wants to tell all of America that Research Saves Lives! (http://www.fbresearch.org/8twenty10Form/tabid/988/Default.aspx and www.ResearchSaves.org)
