NABR is always here for you.
For more than a quarter of a century, NABR has led the research community, promoting scientific innovation while protecting biomedical research from unsound public policy, harmful legislation and negative media. With unparalleled experience, NABR is the acknowledged national and global leader on animal research policy issues. NABR always stands ready to serve you.
NABR membership has important advantages, including access to NABR’s crisis management expertise. Our Crisis Management Guide and staff assistance give you the tools and guidance to implement your critical response plan. We will keep you from being caught unprepared.
NABR gets things done.
NABR’s leadership, contacts in federal law enforcement, and connections on Capitol Hill resulted in a new federal law to further protect biomedical research from extremist violence. NABR led the biomedical research coalition that was the instrumental force behind enactment of the Animal Enterprise Terrorism Act of 2006 (AETA).
Biomedical research, particularly biotechnology, requires rats and mice as the models of choice. In 2002, NABR was instrumental in achieving a statutory exemption from the Animal Welfare Act for rats, mice and birds used in research.
With your help, NABR will continue to ensure that critical and ground breaking research continues under reasonable federal oversight.
NABR analyzes.
NABR membership gives you access to three publications designed to keep you current on relevant issues and happenings at USDA, NIH, FDA, CDC and in Congress. Every two weeks you will receive the NABR Update, giving you a focused analysis of the issues you care about. You will receive NABR Alerts, highlighting breaking news and urgent community calls-to-action when necessary. You also have access to NABR’s Animal Research News and Policy Summary, giving you a comprehensive overview of animal research policy matters for the year. You’ll receive access to Total E-Clips, a daily news service distributed by NABR’s sister organization, the Foundation for Biomedical Research (www.fbresearch.org).
